should clarify sealant on threaded connections, not used at the inverted flares, I still use it on brass to brass threads just in case :) soothes my OCD

Brass on brass connections do not require any sealant but the steel or iron on iron do, I recommend The permatex Teflon paste, attention to detail to prevent any air leaks, change the gasket for the bolt each time you change the element
