Hey Mr T., ,  now you need to do the exact same diagnosis with and  electronic ignition setup. I would love to see if there is a way to check if the magnet in the distributor is working or not? My buddies give me grief and tell me if  that magnet goes , I am dead in the water unlike points which are easy to replace.  My response to them is so why don't you replace your modern vehicle with points? They don't laugh!

Mr. T, I would love to see an Israeli Diamond T halftrack brought back to its original WWII specs!

Patrick Tipton Separating military mechanics from your other hobbies (different channels) works for me. Thanks for the offer with the carb. There is nothing to it. I am pretty sure the issue is the float but there are no holes . Must be sticking...

I have OCD when it comes to original parts. I had on my Zundapp a cheap incorrect carb that ran great... Started 1st kick and didn't ever have a choke. I put the correct carb on it and nothing but problems ...It started right away but would flood easy and idle would not come down after letting up on the gas. You could not even see the carb. The Germans over engineered it by totally enclosing it  with a cover. It still drives me crazy not being correct. 

I would only concentrate on military items; no bees, no fixing house fans...😀
