Great information and detail about dwell and the importance of setting it correctly. Now I'm wondering if the overheating problem on the M151 24v coils is related to incorrect dwell settings. Also the jeep L134 engines used six points of attachment for the flywheel, two of which are tapered dowel pins. This allows the flywheel to be installed in two positions, correctly r 180° out. Once helped a jeep owner that had his engine rebuilt by a local machine shop only to never be able to set the timing. Well troubleshooting it ultimately discovered that the machine shop had redrilled the crankshaft and flywheel to all holes being the same size so that the flywheel could be installed in six different positions. So the top dead center of number one cylinder could be incorrectly placed relative to the timing mark on the flywheel five out of six possibilities. Start with the basics and work your way forward one consecutive step at a time. I have made a template for marking flywheels for the L134

windshield stencil  etching process think of it as Black Magic ;)

That etching looks great, the detail for the windshield etch is so fine that it cannot be done with a vinyl cutter in my experience, the kit Patrick used in the video is a micro silkscreen process, although I have a laser capable of .002"of an inch accuracy I cannot find a material compatible in order to make a stencil mask that allows for clean etching using it, previously I had made kits using a photochemical process made mask but the materials for that kit are no longer available, so after a stupid amount of time, I developed the current kit using the micro silk screen process

Brass nuts I remember coming across documentation at some point that the MBs and GPWs did use them but due to War Material Shortage also substituted steel, also, what happened to the battle with the brush blade and Matt

Are the #2 and #3 main bearing caps symmetrical or can they be rotated 180 ?
